This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwestern Connecticut,
western Massachusetts, east central and eastern New York and
southern Vermont.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Periods of rain showers are expected through the mid afternoon hours,
with some locally heavy downpours possible. Rises on area rivers are
likely with some rivers basins within the eastern Catskills
potentially reaching bankfull. Most main stem rivers should stay
within their banks. Some minor flooding of urban, low-lying, poor
drainage or other flood-prone areas cannot be ruled out during the
heaviest downpours.

Gusty southeasterly winds are expected this morning, especially
across western New England. Some gusts may exceed 40 mph, which could
lead to some isolated downed tree limbs or power outages.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Behind the departing storm, westerly winds will be become gusty on
Saturday, with some gusts up to 40 mph possible. This may result in
some downed tree limbs. If stronger winds look likely, a Wind
Advisory would be needed for some areas.
