At 408 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were
located along a line extending from 17 nm northeast of Put-In-Bay to
6 nm east of Kelleys Island to 7 nm southwest of Huron, moving
northeast at 50 knots. Gusty winds may occur before the arrival of
rain. Additional scattered showers and thunderstorms capable of
producing lightning are developing just ahead of the main line.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these storms pass.
