This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northwest Illinois...west central Illinois...east
central Iowa...northeast Iowa...southeast Iowa and northeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

South-southwest winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 40 mph are
expected today. These winds could last overnight as well. Drivers
of vans, campers, trailers, and other high profile vehicles
should be extra cautious, especially on east-west roads.

Showers are possible later in the evening and into the overnight.
An isolated lightning strike cannot be ruled out.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

Isolated thunderstorms are possible Tuesday with the main threat
being lightning and wind gusts to 50 MPH.

Thunderstorms are possible Thursday night into Sunday. The storms
on Friday have the potential to be strong to severe. However,
their strength is tied to the placement of a warm front and there
is uncertainty in where this front will be on Friday.

Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
