...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of southeastern Lumpkin,
Banks, southern White, southeastern Dawson, northern Hall and
northeastern Jackson Counties through 800 AM EDT...

At 729 AM EDT, a line of strong thunderstorms was along a line
extending from near Sautee to near Garland to near Silver City, and
moving east at 50 mph.

HAZARD...40 to 50 mph wind, up to penny sized hail, frequent cloud
         to ground lightning and heavy rain.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of
         light, unsecured objects. Heavy rain may cause temporary
         street flooding especially in poor drainage areas.

Locations impacted include...
Gainesville, Commerce, Cleveland, Homer, Lula, Maysville, Clermont,
Gillsville, Pinefield Crossroads, Mossy Creek, Murrayville, Garland,
Leaf, Hollingsworth, and Banks Crossing.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

People outdoors should seek shelter immediately. If you can hear
thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Motorists
should slow down and be prepared for possible loss of control due to
hydroplaning.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 100 PM EDT for north central
and northeastern Georgia.
