...ON THIS DATE IN WEATHER HISTORY...

In 1966, an incredible blizzard raged for 4 days over
most of North Dakota and Minnesota. The Abominable
Snowman buried many areas with 2 to 3 feet of snow.
Winds gusting from 70 to 100 MPH, produced drifts of 30
to 40 feet, equivalent to a 3 or 4 story building!
Bismarck North Dakota reported near zero visibilities for
about 42 consecutive hours! Thirteen people died, and
livestock losses were virtually countless.
