...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS APPROACHING THE WATERS...

The areas affected include...
  Coastal waters from Cape Fear NC to Little River Inlet SC out 20
  nm...
  Coastal waters from Little River Inlet to Murrells Inlet SC out 20
  nm...

At 703 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were
located along a line extending from Little River Entrance to 20 nm
northwest of Garden City, moving southeast at 20 knots.

  Little River Reef, Little River Entrance, Little River Sea Buoy,
  North Myrtle Beach, Cherry Grove Inlet, and Cherry Grove Beach
  around 710 PM EDT.
  Sherman Wreck around 715 PM EDT.
  Little River Offshore Reef around 725 PM EDT.
  Springmaid Pier around 730 PM EDT.
  Myrtle Beach Rock around 735 PM EDT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these storms pass. If caught on the open water,
prepare for deteriorating conditions. Make sure you and your crew are
wearing properly fitted life jackets.
