...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHERN PENDER COUNTY THROUGH
1245 AM EDT...

At 1200 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Harrells, or 8 miles west of Wallace, moving southeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Burgaw, Penderlea, Murray Town, Willard, Watha, and Pender Memorial
Hospital.

This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 388 and 399.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
