The National Weather Service in Newport has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Neuse and Bay Rivers...
  S of Cape Lookout NC to Surf City NC out to 20 nm...

* Until 900 PM EDT.

* At 827 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from 12 nm north of Bogue Inlet to near The Vicinity Of
  Emerald Isle Bridge, moving east at 50 knots.

  HAZARD...Wind gusts in excess of 50 knots.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Boats could suffer significant structural damage in high
           winds. Small craft could capsize in suddenly higher
           waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  Atlantic Beach, The Center Of Bogue Sound, The Vicinity Of Clubfoot
  Creek, Mid Point Of Cherry Branch-Minnesott Beach Ferry Terminal,
  Salter Path, Beaufort Inlet, The Vicinity Of Pine Knoll Shores,
  Ar320, Bogue Inlet, The Vicinity Of Emerald Isle Bridge, Beaufort,
  Emerald Isle, Ar315, The Vicinity Of Hancock Creek, The Turning
  Basin, The Morehead City-Atlantic Beach Bridge, and The Vicinity Of
  Atlantic Beach Bridge.
