...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT WASHINGTON...EAST CENTRAL PITT...
NORTHWESTERN HYDE...SOUTHEASTERN MARTIN AND NORTHERN BEAUFORT
COUNTIES THROUGH 800 PM EDT...

At 727 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 6 miles northwest of Plymouth to near Dowdy
Ficklen Stadium. Movement was southeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Washington, Plymouth, River Road, Pinetown, Pungo, Pactolus, Wenona,
Hinson, Bunyan, Pike Road, Core Point, Westover, Pleasant Grove,
Terra Ceia, Scuppernong, Yeatesville, Old Ford, Phelps Lake, Pungo
Lake, and Goose Creek State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for
eastern North Carolina.
