ABUNDANT NEAR-GROUND MOISTURE ACROSS THE STATE KEPT SKIES CLOUDY
WITH DRIZZLE...FREEZING DRIZZLE...FLURRIES...AND AREAS OF FOG IN
PLACE ACROSS THE STATE LATE THIS MORNING. AN AREA OF SNOW WAS
FOUND NEAR THE WISCONSIN NEAR STILLWATER WEST ACROSS THE TWIN
CITIES. WINDS WERE GENERALLY FROM THE SOUTH AND AT NOON TEMPERATURES
RANGED FROM THE UPPER 20S NORTHEAST...TO THE MIDDLE 30S SOUTH.

THE AREA OF LIGHT SNOW WILL MOVE EAST INTO WISCONSIN THIS
AFTERNOON. A FEW RAIN OR SNOW SHOWERS ARE POSSIBLE OVER SOUTHERN
MINNESOTA THIS AFTERNOON AND THIS EVENING. DRIZZLE AND FLURRIES
ARE EXPECTED TO CONTINUE ACROSS THE REMAINDER OF THE STATE. FOCUS
SHIFTS OVERNIGHT TO A DEVELOPING CLIPPER SYSTEM...WHICH WILL MOVE
INTO THE EASTERN DAKOTAS OVERNIGHT. AHEAD OF THE CLIPPER...A BAND
OF RAIN...SLEET...AND SNOW IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP DURING THE PRE-
DAWN HOURS OF MONDAY MORNING. THE MORNING COMMUTE MAY BE SLOWER
THAN NORMAL...ESPECIALLY OVER WEST-CENTRAL MINNESOTA WHERE THE
CHANCE OF SNOW AND SLEET IS GREATEST. TEMPERATURES THIS AFTERNOON
WILL CLIMB INTO THE LOW 30S NORTH...TO NEAR 40 DEGREES SOUTHEAST.
LOWS TONIGHT WILL RANGE FROM THE UPPER 20S NORTHWEST...TO THE
UPPER 30S SOUTHEAST.

WINTRY MIXED PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE THROUGH MONDAY.
RAIN IS EXPECTED ACROSS THE SOUTHERN THIRD OF THE STATE...MIXED
WITH LIGHT SNOW EARLY. MEANWHILE THE NORTHERN TWO-THIRDS OF
MINNESOTA WILL EXPERIENCE SNOW AND SLEET...POSSIBLY CHANGING TO
RAIN OR DRIZZLE DURING THE AFTERNOON. SNOW ACCUMULATION OF UP TO
2 INCHES IS POSSIBLE IN THE NORTH THROUGH EARLY EVENING. AFTERNOON
HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL BE IN THE MIDDLE TO UPPER 30S STATEWIDE.

BY MONDAY NIGHT THE CLIPPER SYSTEM WILL STALL OUT OVER THE UPPER
MIDWEST WITH WINTRY MIXED PRECIPITATION CONTINUING INTO TUESDAY.
SNOWFALL RATES WILL BE HIGHEST OVER NORTHEAST MINNESOTA FROM THE
PRE-DAWN HOURS OF TUESDAY MORNING THROUGH TUESDAY EVENING. MONITOR
