WEATHER SUMMARY FOR MINNESOTA

THE SKY WAS MAINLY CLEAR ACROSS THE STATE THIS MORNING. A FEW HIGH
THIN CLOUDS ROAMED THE NORTH.  EARLY MORNING TEMPERATURES WERE IN THE
UPPER 20S NORTHEAST TO SOME MID 40S IN THE SOUTHEAST AND NORTHWEST.

HIGH PRESSURE WILL DOMINATE OUR WEATHER TODAY.  PLENTY OF SUNSHINE
IS EXPECTED ALONG WITH MILD TEMPERATURES.  AFTERNOON HIGHS ARE
EXPECTED TO WARM THROUGH THE UPPER 50S NORTHEAST AND NEAR 70 TO THE
SOUTHWEST.

THE HIGH IS FORECAST TO MOVE EAST OVERNIGHT AND WILL CONTINUE TO
PROVIDE LIGHT WINDS TO THE EAST.  A COLD FRONT WILL MOVE INTO THE
DAKOTAS TONIGHT PROVIDING A SOUTHEAST WIND. THIS SHOULD HELP  KEEP
TEMPERATURES UP OVERNIGHT.  LOWS WILL RANGE IN THE MID 30S NORTHEAST
TO THE UPPER 40S TO THE WEST.

THE COLD FRONT WILL SWEEP INTO EASTERN MINNESOTA BY THURSDAY AFTERNOON.
THICKER CLOUDS ARE EXPECTED TO MOVE OVER THE REGION. TEMPERATURES
WILL REMAIN MILD WITH AFTERNOON HIGHS EXPECTED TO TOP OUT IN THE
LOWERS 60S TO LOWER 70S.

THE THREAT OF SHOWERS WILL FOUND OVER NORTHERN MINNESOTA THURSDAY
NIGHT INTO FRIDAY.  EXPECT COOLER AIR TO DROP SOUTHEAST OVER THE
STATE.  HIGH TEMPERATURES ON FRIDAY SHOULD TOP OUT IN THE UPPER 40S
TO UPPER 50S.
