AROUND MID MORNING HIGH PRESSURE WAS BUILDING OVER THE CENTRAL
PLAINS AND AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE WAS CENTERED IN SOUTHERN
NUNAVUT. FROM CENTRAL MINNESOTA TO NORTH CENTRAL MINNESOTA SKIES
WERE CLEAR. THE REST OF THE STATE SAW PARTLY TO MOSTLY CLOUDY
SKIES. TEMPERATURES RANGED FROM THE TEENS ACROSS THE NORTH...TO
THE MID TO UPPER 20S ACROSS FAR SOUTHERN MINNESOTA.

TODAY...THE HIGH WILL BUILD EASTWARDS AS THE DAY PROGRESSES AND
THE LOW WILL MOVE SOUTHEASTWARDS INTO NORTHEAST MANITOBA. THIS
SETUP WILL BRING BRISK SOUTHWEST WINDS TO MINNESOTA. CLOUD COVER
WILL DECREASE FOR CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN MINNESOTA. NORTHERN
MINNESOTA WILL SEE INCREASING CLOUD COVER THIS AFTERNOON DUE TO
THE INCOMING SYSTEM. HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE LOW TO MID 30S IN
WESTERN MINNESOTA. THE REST OF THE STATE WILL SEE READINGS IN THE
20S.

THE LOW WILL MOVE INTO NORTHERN ONTARIO AS THE NIGHT PROGRESSES.
THIS WILL GRADUALLY SPREAD A LIGHT WINTRY MIX OF SLEET AND
FREEZING RAIN TO NORTHERN MINNESOTA TONIGHT. DURING THE EARLY
MORNING HOURS THIS ACTIVITY WILL SPREAD INTO CENTRAL MINNESOTA.
LOW TEMPERATURES IN THE 20S STATEWIDE.

FRIDAY...DURING THE MORNING HOURS THE WINTRY MIX WILL CONTINUE
SPREADING SOUTHEASTWARDS. SOUTHERN MINNESOTA MAY SEE SOME PLAIN
RAIN ALONG WITH A WINTRY MIX. HIGHS IN THE LOW 40S IN SOUTHERN
MINNESOTA...WHILE THE REST OF THE STATE WILL SEE READINGS IN THE
MID TO UPPER 30S.

ANOTHER SYSTEM WILL MOVE INTO THE STATE LATE ON SATURDAY BRINGING
MORE WINTRY PRECIPITATION.
