The weather was benign across Minnesota overnight, with mostly clear
skies and light winds. Pre-dawn temperatures mainly ranged from the
low to mid 40s in the north to the mid to upper 50s south.

Light rain showers will enter the state from the Dakotas this
morning, with mid level clouds spreading across the state through
the day. Highs will range from around 70 degrees in the north to
near 80 south.

Tonight will mark the start of an active weather pattern, with
occasional showers and thunderstorms expected through the remainder
of the week. Heavy rainfall appears possible, especially across
southern Minnesota.
