...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR PORTIONS OF THE CENTRAL UNTIL NOON
AND THROUGH THE DAY ACROSS MUCH OF THE NORTH...

A mix of snow...freezing rain and sleet was occurring over northern
Minnesota early this morning. Light rain was occurring to the south.
Early morning temperatures ranged in the mid 20s north to lower 50s
to the southeast.

A low pressure system will lift northeast over the Great Lakes
region today and tonight. This will continue the snow...freezing
rain and rain across the state during the day. As the low lifts off
to the east tonight...precipitation will become lighter and
eventually end over the south. Highs today are expected to range
around 30 north to the lower 50s southeast. Lows tonight will range
in the 20s north with lower 30s south.

Mostly cloudy conditions will continue through Thursday. A small
chance of lingering freezing drizzle or snow will be found to the
northeast. High temepratures will remain on the cool side...With
highs in the 30s north to 40s south. The colder air will then remain
in place through the end of the week.
