...HEAVY SNOW LIKELY ACROSS PARTS OF CENTRAL MINNESOTA AND WEST
CENTRAL WISCONSIN ON WEDNESDAY...

.A WINTER STORM WARNING HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR AREAS ALONG AND NORTH
OF A LINE FROM LONG PRAIRIE TO CAMBRIDGE IN MINNESOTA...AND FOR
AREAS ALONG AND NORTH OF HIGHWAY 8 IN WISCONSIN...INCLUDING
LUCK...RICE LAKE AND LADYSMITH. THIS WARNING IS IN EFFECT LATE
TONIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY NIGHT. SNOW WILL START LATE TONIGHT...THEN
TRANSITION TO A RAIN AND SNOW MIXTURE EARLY WEDNESDAY BEFORE
CHANGING BACK TO ALL SNOW WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH WEDNESDAY
NIGHT. 4 TO 8 INCHES OF WET SNOW ACCUMULATION IS EXPECTED ACROSS
THE WARNING AREA. IT IS POSSIBLE THAT SOME LOCATIONS IN THE
WARNING AREA MAY NOT SWITCH OVER TO RAIN. THIS WOULD RESULT IN
HIGHER TOTALS WITH SOME LOCATIONS IN MINNESOTA AND WISCONSIN
ENDING UP WITH 10 TO 12 INCHES OF WET SNOW...MOST POSSIBLE NEAR
LAKE MILLE LACS...MORA...AND RICE LAKE WISCONSIN.

A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM
WEDNESDAY TO 4 AM CDT THURSDAY. THE WINTER STORM WATCH IS NO
LONGER IN EFFECT.


* TIMING...SNOW WILL DEVELOP EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING...CONTINUING
  THROUGH MUCH OF THE DAY ON WEDNESDAY AND WEDNESDAY NIGHT. SOME
  OF THE SNOW WILL MIX WITH RAIN DURING THE DAY WEDNESDAY BEFORE
  CHANGING BACK TO ALL SNOW LATE WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON. THE SNOW
  WILL TAPER OFF EARLY THURSDAY MORNING.

* SNOW ACCUMULATION...4 TO 8 INCHES.

* OTHER IMPACTS...TRAVEL MAY BE HAZARDOUS LATE TUESDAY NIGHT
  THROUGH EARLY THURSDAY MORNING. THIS WILL BE A WET SNOW WHICH
  WILL BE DIFFICULT TO SHOVEL.

A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW MEANS SEVERE WINTRY CONDITIONS
ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW ARE
FORECAST THAT WILL MAKE TRAVEL DANGEROUS. ONLY TRAVEL IN AN
EMERGENCY. IF YOU MUST TRAVEL...KEEP AN EXTRA
FLASHLIGHT...FOOD...AND WATER IN YOUR VEHICLE IN CASE OF AN
EMERGENCY.
