This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southwest
Iowa...west central Iowa...east central Nebraska...northeast
Nebraska and southeast Nebraska.
.DAY ONE...Tonight and Friday
Very high fire danger is expected this through 5 pm in extreme
northeast Nebraska.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday night through Thursday
A storm system will bring widespread precipitation to the region
Saturday evening through Monday. This will include chances for
accumulating snow, especially over northeast Nebraska. The first
snow chance is a 30 to 40 percent chance of accumulating snow
Saturday morning mainly along the Nebraska South Dakota border.
The better chance for snow accumulation, ranging from a 50 to 70
percent chance in far northeast Nebraska down to a 20 to 30
percent chance along Interstate 80, will be from late Sunday
night into Tuesday morning. Confidence in the specific track of
the storm system is lower than normal at this point, and the
forecast is likely to change as the storm track becomes more
apparent.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.
