...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN POPE...NORTHEASTERN
JOHNSON...SOUTHEASTERN WILLIAMSON AND SOUTHWESTERN SALINE COUNTIES
THROUGH MIDNIGHT CDT...

At 1124 PM CDT, trained weather spotters reported a strong
thunderstorm over Creal Springs, or 9 miles southeast of Marion,
moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Trained weather spotters.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Harrisburg, Creal Springs, Carrier Mills, Lake Of Egypt Area,
Stonefort, and New Burnside.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 200 AM CDT for southern
Illinois.
