...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT EASTERN MARIES AND NORTHEASTERN
PHELPS COUNTIES THROUGH 700 PM CDT...

At 625 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
St. James, or 9 miles northeast of Rolla, moving northeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
St. James, Belle, and Vichy.

This includes Interstate 44 between mile markers 193 and 198.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
