A FAST MOVING CLIPPER WAS CENTERED OVER FAR NORTHWESTERN ONTARIO
LATE THIS EVENING...WITH A COOL FRONT EXTENDING WEST ACROSS THE
CANADIAN PRAIRIES. OVER THE NORTHERN PLAINS AND WESTERN GREAT
LAKES...WINDS WERE BREEZY AND GENERALLY FROM THE SOUTH TO
SOUTHWEST...USHERING IN WARMER TEMPERATURES AND INCREASING MOISTURE.
AS THE LOW GLIDES EASTWARD OVERNIGHT AND SATURDAY...THE COOL FRONT
WILL ADVANCE SOUTHEAST ACROSS THE INTERNATIONAL BORDER INTO
MINNESOTA AND NORTH DAKOTA. MOISTURE STREAMING NORTHWARD TONIGHT
AND SATURDAY MORNING WILL RESULT IN AREAS OF FREEZING RAIN AND
FREEZING DRIZZLE. THE LOCATIONS MOST LIKELY TO BE IMPACTED BY ICE
ACCUMULATION ARE EASTERN IOWA...NORTHERN ILLINOIS...AND SOUTHERN
WISCONSIN. FREEZING RAIN ADVISORIES ARE IN EFFECT OVER THOSE AREAS
THROUGH NOON SATURDAY. MONITOR NOAA WEATHER RADIO AND LOCAL
TELEVISION AND RADIO OUTLETS FOR THE LATEST FORECAST INFORMATION.
THE FRONT WILL STALL SATURDAY AFTERNOON AND BEGIN TO LIFT NORTH AS
A WARM FRONT BY SATURDAY EVENING...AHEAD OF THE NEXT SYSTEM WHICH
WILL BRING A WINTRY MIX OF RAIN...FREEZING RAIN...AND SNOW TO THE
REGION SUNDAY THROUGH MONDAY.

TEMPERATURES TONIGHT WILL REMAIN WARMER ACROSS THE REGION...AND
MAY EVEN RISE OVERNIGHT ON STRONG SOUTH WINDS. MINIMUM TEMPERATURES
WILL RANGE FROM THE TEENS OVER NORTHEAST WISCONSIN...TO THE UPPER
20S OVER NORTHEAST IOWA. HIGHS ON SATURDAY WILL REACH THE MIDDLE
30S ACROSS NORTHERN AND CENTRAL MINNESOTA...AND THE LOW 50S OVER
SOUTHERN SOUTH DAKOTA.
