...NOVEMBER WAS DRIER AND MUCH WARMER THAN NORMAL IN LINCOLN...
...THE FALL MONTHS OF SEPTEMBER THROUGH NOVEMBER WERE MUCH WARMER
THAN NORMAL IN LINCOLN...

THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE IN NOVEMBER WAS THE 4TH WARMEST ON RECORD IN
LINCOLN...AS MUCH OF THE MONTH WAS DOMINATED BY WELL ABOVE-NORMAL
TEMPERATURES.  THE TOTAL PRECIPITATION OF 0.65 INCHES WAS LESS THAN
HALF OF NORMAL.

THE 1ST THROUGH 17TH WAS DOMINATED BY TEMPERATURES THAT WERE MUCH
WARMER THAN NORMAL...INCLUDING SEVERAL HIGHS IN THE 60S AND
70S...ALONG WITH LITTLE PRECIPITATION.  ONLY 0.05 INCHES OF RAIN
FELL IN THE PERIOD...ON THE 7TH.  THE WARMEST TEMPERATURE OF THE
MONTH OCCURRED ON THE 16TH AT 80 DEGREES...WHICH WAS NOT ONLY A
DAILY RECORD WARM TEMPERATURE...IT WAS ALSO THE LATEST 80+-DEGREE
READING ON RECORD IN LINCOLN. THE WARMEST LOW TEMPERATURE OF THE
MONTH OCCURRED ON THE 7TH AT 48 DEGREES.  ONE BELOW-AVERAGE DAY WAS
NOTED IN THE PERIOD...ON THE 12TH...WITH A LOW OF 22 DEGREES.

A STRONG COLD FRONT ON THE 18TH BROUGHT WINDS GUSTING AS HIGH AS 54
MPH...FOLLOWED BY THE ONLY OTHER DAY IN NOVEMBER WITH A BELOW-
AVERAGE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE ON THE 19TH. THE COLDEST LOW
TEMPERATURES OF THE MONTH OCCURRED ON THE 20TH...AT 21 DEGREES.
TEMPERATURES REBOUNDED TO READINGS ABOVE TO WELL ABOVE NORMAL FROM
THE 22ND THROUGH THE 30TH...WITH MEASURABLE PRECIPITATION ON THE
18TH...22ND...AND THE 27TH.


THE FALL MONTHS OF SEPTEMBER-OCTOBER-NOVEMBER WERE THE 4TH WARMEST
ON RECORD FOR LINCOLN.  THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE OF 58.3 DEGREES WAS
5.6 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL.  THE TOTAL PRECIPITATION OF 5.89 INCHES
WAS 0.53 INCHES BELOW NORMAL...REGISTERING IN THE RANGE OF NEAR
NORMAL. NO SNOW WAS RECORDED THIS FALL...WHICH IS 2.8 INCHES LESS
THAN NORMAL.  THE FIRST FREEZE OCCURRED ON OCTOBER 13TH AT 28
DEGREES...WHICH WAS 2 DAYS LATER THAN AVERAGE.  THIS ALSO MARKED THE
FIRST HARD FREEZE...WHICH IS 10 DAYS EARLIER THAN THE AVERAGE OF
OCTOBER 23. ONLY 15 DAYS HAD LOW TEMPERATURES AT OR BELOW
FREEZING...WHICH IS THE 8TH FEWEST ON RECORD. THERE WERE 57 DAYS
WITH MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES OF 70 DEGREES OR HIGHER...WHICH IS THE
MOST ON RECORD FOR THE FALL MONTHS...SURPASSING THE RECORD OF 54
DAYS IN 1953.
