APRIL 2017 BROUGHT TYPICAL SPRING WEATHER TO SOUTHEAST WASHINGTON
AND THE SOUTH IDAHO PANHANDLE...ALTHOUGH THE MONTH DID FINISH
SLIGHTLY WETTER AND COOLER THAN NORMAL AS A SERIES OF STORMS MOVED
INTO THE REGION FROM THE WEST AND NORTHWEST. FOR THE LEWISTON AREA
AS IS TYPICAL FOR APRIL SEVERAL TEMPERATURE SWINGS OCCURRED WITH
HIGHS IN THE LOWER 50S...WARMING TO NEAR 70 BEFORE COOLING BACK INTO
THE 50S.  THE MOST NOTEWORTHY EVENT OF THE MONTH OCCURRED ON THE 7TH
AS A STRONG COLD FRONT PASSES THROUGH RESULTING IN THUNDERSTORMS IN
THE MORNING AND WINDY CONDITIONS.  LEWISTON RECORDED A PEAK WIND
GUST OF 56 MPH WITH 46 MPH IN PULLMAN.

NO RECORDS WERE SET DURING THE MONTH AT THE LEWISTON AIRPORT.
