HYDROLOGIC OUTLOOK
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LA CROSSE WI
324 PM CDT WED AUG 27 2014

...LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN POSSIBLE THURSDAY INTO SATURDAY...

HEAVY RAIN IS LIKELY ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE AREA THE NEXT FEW
DAYS AS A VERY MOIST AIRMASS IS LIFTED INTO THE UPPER MIDWEST.
RAINFALL AMOUNTS THROUGH SATURDAY COULD RANGE FROM 1.5 UP TO 4
INCHES...WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE. THIS COULD RESULT
IN WITHIN BANK RISES ON AREA WATERWAYS AND THE POTENTIAL FOR
LOCALIZED FLOODING.

THE RAIN LOOKS TO FALL IN TWO HEAVIER ROUNDS. ONE OF THESE IS
THURSDAY INTO THURSDAY NIGHT...WITH 1 TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN POSSIBLE
MOSTLY ALONG AND NORTH OF INTERSTATE 90. THE SECOND ROUND WOULD
BE FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND NIGHT...WITH THREE-QUARTERS TO AN INCH
POSSIBLE ACROSS THE ENTIRE AREA.

IF THE SECOND ROUND OF RAIN IS HEAVIER OR REPEATS OVER THE SAME
LOCATIONS AS THE THURSDAY AND THURSDAY NIGHT RAINS...THE THREAT
FOR FLASH FLOODING AND RIVER FLOODING WOULD INCREASE.

STAY TUNED TO LATER FORECASTS AND STATEMENTS.
