...Northeastern North Dakota streams and ditches beginning flow...

Weekend temperatures have resulted in melt water beginning to work
into the river system. Snow melt runoff has begun to work into the
ditches, coulees and headwaters of area rivers across portions of
Northeastern North Dakota. Over the next few days runoff will
increase with more significant small stream and riverine flooding
expected to develop through the coming week.

In Pembina County, local melt and runoff will develop over the
next couple days, with river flows picking up later in the week.
There is a preliminary end of the first week of April for crest
timing for Walhalla or Neche. Both locations will start seeing
some indications of significant river rises this week as the thaw
progresses.

For Ramsey, Towner and Cavalier Counties, local melt and runoff
is beginning to fill the ditches with a few culverts starting to
open. Over the coming week, the ditches will open and some
low land overland flow will develop as the melt water works into
the area coulees, streams and ponds.
