This hydrologic outlook includes the following rivers:

Embarras River...

The following river information is based on future predicted
rainfall. The exact amount, intensity, timing, and location of the
rain that will occur is still uncertain. These outlook stages are
provided to show what may be expected if the forecast precipitation
occurs. Once there is more certainty about the river forecasts, a
flood warning or statement will be issued if the threat materializes.

For the Embarras River at Ste. Marie...the latest stage is 10.1 feet
at 9 PM Thursday. Flood stage is 19.0 feet. Minor flooding is
forecast...with a crest of 19.3 feet Saturday morning...which is 0.3
feet above flood stage. The river should rise above the flood stage
of 19.0 feet early Saturday morning. The river should fall below
flood stage early Sunday morning. At 19.0 feet...County Highway 9
floods between Ste. Marie and Willow Hill.

For the Embarras River at Lawrenceville...the latest stage is 23.1
feet at 9 PM Thursday. Flood stage is 30.0 feet. Minor flooding is
forecast...with a crest of 31.8 feet Sunday afternoon...which is 1.8
feet above flood stage. The river should rise above the flood stage
of 30.0 feet Saturday morning. The river should fall below flood
stage Wednesday afternoon. At 33.0 feet...Lumber Mill Road is
inundated.
