Flood Potential Outlook

...Rain and warmer temperatures may cause localized flooding
issues later this week.
Small stream flooding may develop or increase this week as a storm
system brings warmer air and some periods of rain to the region
Tuesday night and Wednesday. This will be followed by mainly dry
but warmer than normal conditions Thursday and Friday.
Moderate rainfall will likely lead to an increase of ponding of
water and higher flows on smaller rivers and streams that
originate in the higher terrain around the Kittitas and Yakima
Valleys. The streams will remain high through the week as
increased snowmelt is seen with the warmer temperatures at the end
of the week.
River rises on mainstem rivers will also be seen, but no flooding
is expected on the mainstem rivers.
Residents are encouraged to monitor this weather situation for
updates, watches or warnings. People who live along streams or
rivers should monitor water levels closely.
