THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SHREVEPORT HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA...NORTHEAST
  TEXAS...SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS AND EXTREME NORTHWEST
  LOUISIANA..INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES AND PARISHES...IN
  SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA...MCCURTAIN. IN SOUTHWEST
  ARKANSAS...HEMPSTEAD...HOWARD...LAFAYETTE...LITTLE
  RIVER...MILLER...NEVADA AND SEVIER. IN NORTHWEST
  LOUISIANA...BOSSIER AND CADDO. IN NORTHEAST
  TEXAS...BOWIE...CAMP...CASS...CHEROKEE...FRANKLIN...GREGG...HARRISON...
  MARION...MORRIS...PANOLA...RED RIVER...RUSK...SMITH...TITUS...
  UPSHUR AND WOOD.

* REMAINS IN EFFECT TODAY...TONIGHT AND THROUGH EARLY SATURDAY
  EVENING.

* SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL INCREASE IN COVERAGE AND
  INTENSITY THROUGH TODAY AND TOMORROW AS AN UPPER LEVEL TOUGH AND
  A COLD FRONT EDGE SLOWLY EASTWARD. LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL
  AMOUNTS OF ONE TO THREE INCHES ARE EXPECTED...WITH ISOLATED
  HIGHER AMOUNTS TO NEAR FOUR INCHES. THE SOIL REMAINS SATURATED
  AND THIS NEW RAINFALL WILL QUICKLY RUNOFF INTO OUR ALREADY
  SWOLLEN LOCAL AND AREA WIDE DRAINAGE SYSTEMS.


* LOW LYING AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS...ESPECIALLY IN THE VICINITY
  OF RAPIDLY RISING BAYOUS...CREEKS AND STREAMS...DUE TO POTENTIALLY
  VERY HEAVY RAINFALL...WILL BE MOST PRONE TO FLASH FLOODING.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD
TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION
SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED.
