THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ALBUQUERQUE HAS ISSUED A

* ARROYO AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY FOR...
  SOUTHWESTERN CATRON COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL NEW MEXICO...

* UNTIL 300 PM MDT

* AT 1255 PM MDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR AND
  AUTOMATED RAIN GAUGES INDICATED HEAVY RAIN DUE TO THUNDERSTORMS.
  RADAR AND AUTOMATED GAGES REPORT THAT UP TO A QUARTER OF AN
  INCH OF RAIN IN 30 MINUTES HAS ALREADY FALLEN.

* LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...
  MOGOLLON.

THIS WILL IMPACT THE WHITEWATER BALDY BURN SCAR INCLUDING BUT NOT
LIMITED TO HIGHWAY 180 BRIDGE AT ALMA OVER MINERAL
CREEK...STATE ROAD 159...MOGOLLON AND SILVER CREEK...THE CATWALK...
STATE ROAD 174...HIGHWAY 180 BRIDGE AT GLENWOOD OVER
WHITEWATER CREEK AND THE FISH HATCHERY...HIGHWAY 180 OVER HOLT GULCH
IN PLEASANTON...STATE ROAD 435.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

RUNOFF FROM RAINFALL WILL CAUSE ELEVATED WATER LEVELS WITHIN
VULNERABLE DRAINAGES IN AND DOWNSTREAM OF THE
WHITEWATER BALDY FIRE BURN AREA.

BOTH LOCALIZED AND DISTANT HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CREATE DANGEROUS FLOWS
IN ARROYOS AND OVER LOW WATER CROSSINGS.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DRIVE THROUGH THESE WATERS.  WATER IN ARROYOS MAY
TRAVEL MANY MILES AND TAKE HOURS TO REACH
YOUR LOCATION FROM UPSTREAM RAIN AREAS.
