...THE FLOOD ADVISORY CONTINUES FOR THE NORTH PLATTE RIVER AT
LEWELLEN AFFECTING GARDEN AND KEITH COUNTIES...

.RIVER LEVELS ALONG THE NORTH PLATTE RIVER NEAR LEWELLEN HAVE BEEN
SLOWLY FALLING OVER THE PAST 24 HOURS AS WARM TEMPERATURES HAVE
ALLOWED THE ICE JAM AT THE INLET OF LAKE MCCONAUGHY TO BEGIN BREAKING
UP. THE RIVER WILL REMAIN HIGH OVER THE COMING DAYS...BUT WITH DAILY
TEMPERATURES RISING ABOVE FREEZING THE ICE SHOULD CONTINUE TO MELT
AND BREAK UP CAUSING THE RIVER LEVEL TO KEEP FALLING.

* FLOOD STAGE IS 7.5 FEET.
* FORECAST...THE RIVER CONTINUE TO SLOWLY FALL THIS WEEK.
