The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has issued a

* Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
  Avoyelles Parish in central Louisiana...

* Until 300 PM CDT

* At 104 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to a line of
  showers and strong thunderstorms advancing east into the into the
  advisory area at 20 mph. This activity will bring a rapid
  additional 1 to 2 inches of rainfall where up to 2 inches of
  rainfall has already occurred earlier today. This will bring
  minor flooding.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Marksville, Bunkie, Simmesport, Moreauville, Bordelonville,
Cottonport, Mansura, Hessmer, Evergreen, Plaucheville, Goudeau,
Brouillette, Lake Ophelia National Wildlife Refuge, Dupont, Big Bend
and Hamburg.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
