...Forecast flooding Changed from Major to Record severity for the
following rivers in Indiana...

  Kankakee River at Dunns Bridge affecting Porter County
  Kankakee River near Kouts affecting Jasper and Porter Counties

.Water coming down from the Yellow River in northwest Indiana is
causing additional rises along the Kankakee River basin.  This will
bring levels to Record severity across portions of the Kankakee River
basin.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety message...If you encounter a flooded roadway...turn around and
find an alternate route.

* At 1000 AM Friday the stage was 13.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Major flooding is occurring and Record flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 13.5 feet by
  Tuesday morning then begin falling.
