Fire Weather Forecast for Northeast and North Central Colorado...CORRECTED
National Weather Service Denver/Boulder CO
318 PM MDT Wed Jul 26 2017

.DISCUSSION...Tonight and Thursday...The abnormally moist and
marginally unstable atmosphere over the forecast area tonight
may lead to locally heavy rainfall from slow moving
thunderstorms. The best chance for these storms will be
west of Interstate 25 and south of Interstate 70 until
midnight. Thursday should be somewhat drier with winds aloft
turning northwesterly as the upper ridge shifts west over Utah
and western Colorado. There is still a chance of showers and
thunderstorms by afternoon, particularly in the high country.
A few of these storms may still produce brief heavy rainfall.
Otherwise, relative humidity will be lower and temperatures will
be about the same on Thursday.

LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Thursday night through Monday...A
large upper level ridge south and east of Colorado will
slowly migrate west of the state by late Saturday and
persist there through Monday. There will be ample moisture
around during the all the period so wetting rains are
possible, especially over the mountains and foothills.
Temperatures will be a tad below seasonal normals.

...Thunderstorms imply strong gusty erratic winds...
...All surface winds are 20-Foot...10-Minute averaged winds...
...CWR is Chance of Wetting Rain - 0.10 inch or more liquid...
...24 HR Trends are based on averages over the respective zone
groups and may not match the actual forecast values
                    shown in those groups...
