FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL SOUTH CAROLINA
AND EAST CENTRAL GEORGIA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA SC
300 PM EDT FRI JUL 29 2016

.DISCUSSION...A BROAD UPPER-LEVEL TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE CENTERED
OVER THE CENTRAL US WILL PUSH FARTHER SOUTH AND EAST THROUGH
SUNDAY...SUPPRESSING THE PERSISTENT RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE.
AS A RESULT...ATMOSPHERIC MOISTURE WILL INCREASE AND SUPPORT A
SOMEWHAT BETTER CHANCE OF AFTERNOON AND EVENING THUNDERSTORMS
EACH DAY.

AT THE SURFACE...THE PRESSURE GRADIENT WILL RELAX WITH A WEAK
AREA OF LOW PRESSURE EXTENDING DOWN FROM THE NORTH. FAIR DISPERSION
THIS EVENING WILL BECOME POOR OVERNIGHT. HOWEVER...LIMITED
LOW-LEVEL MOISTURE AND SOME CLOUDINESS WILL INHIBIT ANY FOG
DEVELOPMENT.

SURFACE WINDS SATURDAY WILL BE FROM THE WEST LESS THAN 5 MPH
AFTER DAYBREAK...THEN BECOME SOUTHWEST 5 TO 10 MPH BY AFTERNOON.
TRANSPORT WINDS WILL BE WEST-SOUTHWEST AT 10 TO 15 MPH. RELATIVE
HUMIDITIES WILL DROP TO NEAR 40 PERCENT.
