Fire Weather Planning Forecast For NE Kansas/NW Missouri
National Weather Service Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO
338 PM CST Sat Feb 17 2018

.DISCUSSION...

Light winds tonight will keep fire danger low however, winds will
become strong and gusty late tomorrow morning increasing to 20 to
25 mph with gusts to 40 mph out of the south. This will lead to a
very high fire danger tomorrow. Relative humidity values in the 30
to 35 percent range and wet fuels across the east central Kansas
and central Missouri will be the limiting factors keeping fire
danger from reaching critical conditions. Strong south to
southwesterly winds will continue into Monday however relative
humidity values will become elevated. Regardless, strong winds and
dry fuels will keep fire danger high during the day Monday before
precipitation chances increase on Monday night.
