FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR NORTHERN ALABAMA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HUNTSVILLE AL
405 AM CDT THU APR 24 2014

.DISCUSSION...
A LINE OF SHOWERS WITH EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS IS EXPECTED TO MOVE
WEST TO EAST ACROSS THE AREA THIS EVENING...AHEAD OF AN ADVANCING
COLD FRONT OUT OF THE CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN PLAINS STATES. SOME STORMS
MAY PRODUCE BRIEF HEAVY DOWNPOURS...STRONG GUSTY WINDS AND SMALL HAIL
LATER THIS EVENING AND INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS. HIGH PRESSURE WILL
THEN QUICKLY MOVE EASTWARD ACROSS THE CENTRAL GULF REGION IN THE WAKE
OF THE FRONTAL PASSAGE THIS WEEKEND...RESULTING IN QUIET AND DRY
WEATHER CONDITIONS...COUPLED WITH TEMPERATURES CLIMBING ABOVE
SEASONAL TRENDS. A STRONGER STORM SYSTEM OUT OF THE MIDDLE PLAINS
WILL THEN AFFECT MUCH OF THE REGION GOING INTO THE NEW WORK
WEEK...WITH STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS AND POTENTIALLY MULTIPLE
ROUNDS OF LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL ALL POSSIBLE STARTING LATE SUN AND
CONTINUING INTO EARLY TUE.
