Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Northern Alabama
National Weather Service Huntsville AL
341 AM CST Wed Nov 22 2017

.DISCUSSION...

A dry cold front shifted through the N. Alabama area earlier
this morning. Winds have shifted to the north and will generally
remain northerly through much of the day. This will allow a cooler
and drier air mass to settle over the region. Driest day looks to be
Thanksgiving with RH values dropping into 40-50 percent range east of
I-65 and 30-40 percent range along and west of I-65. However, with
weak NW-N winds in place and KDBI values remaining low, not expecting
any significant fire weather conditions. Expect the cool and dry air
mass to moderate by Friday ahead of another weak, dry cold front passage
on Saturday.

Fog potential over the next few days: Patchy fog will be possible through
sunrise today mainly for areas along and south I-59 in DeKalb Co.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: Red Flag conditions are not expected.
