FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR EASTERN KENTUCKY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE JACKSON KY
550 AM EDT WED JUL 9 2014

.DISCUSSION...

PRECIPITATION WILL BE MOVING TO THE SOUTH TODAY AND WILL BE ENDING
BY THIS EVENING. THIS WILL THEN START A DRY PERIOD THROUGH SATURDAY.
THE PRECIPITATION HAS BEEN A WELCOME RELIEF FROM THE DRY WEATHER
THAT EASTERN KY HAS BEEN EXPERIENCING OVER THE LAST FEW WEEKS. NOT
ALL AREAS RECEIVED RAIN AND THE RAIN WAS NOT SPREAD VERY EVENLY. SO
THE FUELS CONDITIONS COULD VERY GREATLY ACROSS SHORT DISTANCES. THE
MIN RH ON THURSDAY AND FRIDAY ONLY EXPECTED TO DROP DOWN INTO THE
40S AND THE WINDS WILL BE FAIRLY LIGHT.
