EVENING FOR SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO AND MOST OF WEST TEXAS...

.DISCUSSION...
The Southeast New Mexico plains and portions of the Upper Trans Pecos
will see critical fire weather conditions this afternoon with min RH
10 to 15 percent and windy conditions expected. Min RH/s will be 15
percent or less for most of the remainder of the area today, with
elevated fire weather conditions expected for portions of the Permian
Basin where winds may near or briefly exceed 20 mph. Dry/warm conditions
continue Tuesday and southwesterly winds increase areawide, resulting
in widespread critical fire weather conditions. Overnight recovery
tonight will be poor west of the Pecos River and fair to good across
the east.
