FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
National Weather Service Marquette MI
546 AM EDT Thu Jun 22 2017

...Warmer through Friday then turning cool again...

.DISCUSSION: A low pressure system crossing the area into
tonight will bring scattered showers and some thunderstorms.
The greatest chances of rain will occur this morning over
the east, then this afternoon and evening over the south
central and east. Some storms this afternoon south central
could be strong to severe with large hail and damaging winds.
A cold front will sweep east of Upper Michigan late tonight
with breezy conditions developing on Friday. West to northwest
winds may gust to 30 mph, strongest over the northwest. Any
chances for rain will be limited to along the Wisconsin border
and over eastern Upper Michigan. Plan on showery weather with
below normal temperatures for the weekend into early next
week as another slow moving low pressure system affects
the region. The best chances for rain will be during the
afternoon and evening hours.
