.DISCUSSION...

Idaho: A strong cold front is set to move through the area this
afternoon and early evening, with a transition from southerly
winds this morning, to more westerly this afternoon and evening.
Winds could gust as high as 45 mph with frontal passage,
particularly on ridgetops and in exposed areas. Showers and
isolated thunderstorms will also be possible, and capable of gusty
and erratic winds. By Sunday, much cooler temperatures and higher
humidity is expected. Potential for wetting rains is also
increasing for Sunday afternoon.

Montana: A strong cold front is set to move through the area late
this afternoon and evening, with a transition from southerly
winds this morning, to more westerly this evening. Winds could
gust as high as 45 mph with frontal passage, particularly on
ridgetops and in exposed areas. Showers and isolated thunderstorms
will also be possible, and capable of gusty and erratic winds,
especially across southwest Montana. By Sunday, much cooler
temperatures and higher humidity is expected. Potential for
wetting rains is also increasing for Sunday afternoon, especially
across northwest Montana.
