Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southwest and South-Central
Arizona and Southeast California
National Weather Service Phoenix AZ
406 AM MST Sat Mar 25 2017

.DISCUSSION...
Low pressure will track through northern Arizona today. Trough
heights will span south to the International Border and bring in
some drier moisture into the area, drying humidities into the
12-17 percent range south-southeast of the Phoenix area and 20-30
percent across the rest of the forecast area. Overnight recoveries
will range from 50-75 percent. Breezy to gusty afternoon winds to
develop again with westerly gusts 20-30 mph midday into late
afternoon across south-central AZ. Stronger west gusts downwind
of the CA Coastal Ranges 30-40 mph will last into the overnight
hours. Few pockets of localized critical fire weather conditions
may develop between Phoenix and Tucson for a few hours this
afternoon. High temperatures will trend slightly above seasonal
averages in the 80s for many of the lower elevations.
