...DISCUSSION FROM RNOFWFVEF...

THE FOCUS AREA FOR THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY SHIFTS NORTH TO THE
SOUTHERN GREAT BASIN TODAY, THEN RETURNS TO MUCH OF THE REGION
WEDNESDAY AS AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE APPROACHES. MONSOON MOISTURE
DECREASES AND THUNDERSTORM CHANCES END FOR MOST OF THE AREA ON
THURSDAY. HIGH PRESSURE REGAINS CONTROL FRIDAY, WITH DRY AND HOT
WEATHER EXPECTED THROUGH THE WEEKEND.

...DISCUSSION FROM LAXFWFSGX...

WEAK LOW PRESSURE OFF THE CENTRAL CALIFORNIA COAST WILL DRIFT
SLOWLY WESTWARD TODAY WITH HIGH TEMPERATURES FOR INLAND AREAS
RETURNING TO NEAR AVERAGE. SLIGHTLY COOLER FOR WEDNESDAY AND
THURSDAY AS THE WEAK LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM MOVES INLAND THROUGH
SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA. THIS MAY BRING SOME MID CLOUDS...ESPECIALLY
NEAR THE MOUNTAINS EACH AFTERNOON...BUT WITH PRECIPITATION CHANCES
QUITE SMALL. HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE SOUTHWEST STATES AND GREAT
BASIN WILL BRING WARMING FOR INLAND AREAS TO NEAR AVERAGE ON
FRIDAY...AND 5 TO LOCALLY 10 DEGREES ABOVE AVERAGE FOR SATURDAY
THROUGH MONDAY. THE MARINE LAYER AND WEAK ONSHORE FLOW WILL KEEP
HUMIDITIES HIGHER FOR COASTAL AREAS INTO THE WESTERN VALLEYS.

...DISCUSSION FROM PHXFWFPSR...

AN UPPER LEVEL LOW SITTING OFF THE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA COAST WILL
PROVIDE A RATHER DRY SOUTHWEST FLOW ALOFT INTO THE AREA, LIMITING
ANY THUNDERSTORMS CHANCES PRIMARILY TO HIGHER TERRAIN AREAS EAST OF
PHOENIX TODAY AND WEDNESDAY. HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL STAY SLIGHTLY
ABOVE NORMAL BOTH DAYS AND WINDS WILL BE RATHER LIGHT, FAVORING
SOUTH TO SOUTHWEST DURING THE AFTERNOON HOURS. MINIMUM RH VALUES
WILL MOSTLY BE IN THE TEENS OVER THE DESERTS TODAY, RISING SEVERAL
PERCENT WEDNESDAY AS SOME DESERTS CLIMB INTO THE LOW 20S.
