Service.

.DISCUSSION...Surface high pressure has moved off to the east and
light southeast winds have returned. Moisture levels have
increased enough to allow patchy dense fog to develop across
portions of Cameron County early this morning which will quickly
burn off shortly after sunrise. Surface winds will
increase quickly along the coastal counties today...with gusty
conditions expected.

Locations in coastal Cameron County should see relative humidity
values stay above 30 percent. However...the 20-foot winds will be
near or just above the critical threshold of 15 mph...with
gusts to 20 mph. Furthermore...extremely warm high temperatures
across the region will add to the concern for erratic fire behavior.
It should be noted that if the 20-foot winds increase further
across coastal areas...a Red Flag Warning will be necessary.

Winds will lessen tonight...however by Friday morning...a cold
dry cold front will push into the region bringing elevated
northwest winds.
