Spot Forecast for Mezik Slash Burn...MI DNR
National Weather Service Marquette MI
539 AM EDT Thu Sep 14 2017

Forecast is based on ignition time of 1200 EDT on September 14.
If conditions become unrepresentative...contact the National Weather
Service.

.DISCUSSION...With a stationary front set up from the Plains across
Lake Superior, south winds will dominate at the prescribed burn site
through Friday. Some fog and low clouds will burn off this morning,
leading to conditions today that should be quite similar to those
observed yesterday. However, will need to watch low clouds currently
over central and southern Lake Michigan as these clouds may persist
as they lift north today. Although not currently expected, it`s
possible these low clouds could impact the burn site late this
morning and through the afternoon, resulting in lower temperatures
and higher relative humidity than reflected in this forecast. On
Friday, temperatures will be slightly lower, and relative humidity
will be a little higher than today. Relative humidity will recover to
near 100 percent tonight. With the stationary front remaining to the
north, no precipitation is anticipated through Friday.
