SYNOPSIS...A FRONTAL BOUNDARY WILL MOVE THROUGH THE CHUKCHI SEA
THROUGH SUNDAY...AS LOW PRESSURE REMAINS OVER THE ARCTIC OCEAN
THROUGH WEDNESDAY.

THE MAIN ICE EDGE IN THE CHUKCHI SEA EXTENDS FROM 69.4N 163.2W TO
71.1N 158.9W TO 72.3N 163.9W TO 72.1N 171.9W TO 69.6N 177.6W TO
66.9N 169.5W TO THE RUSSIAN COAST NEAR 66.0N 169.6W. THE ICE EDGE IS
MAINLY OPEN WATER. THERE IS ALSO SOME SEA ICE REMAINING WITHIN
KOTZEBUE SOUND.

FORECAST THROUGH WEDNESDAY FOR THE CHUKCHI SEA...MODERATE
SOUTHWESTERLY WINDS WILL PERSIST THROUGH SATURDAY...THEN WINDS WILL
BECOME GENERALLY LIGHT AND VARIABLE THROUGH WEDNESDYA. THE OVERALL
ICE EDGE WILL SHIFT TO THE NORTHEAST 15 TO 25 NM THROUGH WEDNESDAY.
ADDITIONALLY...KOTZEBUE SOUND IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE TO
DETERIORATE AND MELT...AND MAY BE SEA ICE FREE BY WEDNESDAY.
