            TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN ALONG E. COTTONWOOD ROAD SE OF
            DOTHAN AL. THE TORNADO TRAVELED EAST FOR APPROXIMATELY
            2.6 MILES ALONG MCCALLISTER ROAD BEFORE LIFTING NEAR
            ROSEWOOD DRIVE. ONE HOME HAD ITS ROOF REMOVED WITH OTHERS
            HAD SIGNIFICANT SHINGLE DAMAGE. THIS...ALONG WITH
            OBSERVED TREE DAMAGE SUPPORTED AN EF-1 RATING WITH
            MAXIMUM WINDS OF APPROXIMATELY 100 MPH AND MAXIMUM WIDTH
            OF 200 YARDS.

            TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN ON DAMASCUS-HILTON RD JUST EAST OF
            ZION ROAD AND MOVED NE TOWARD CEDAR SPRINGS RD. AT THE
            INTERSECTION OF CEDAR SPRINGS RD AND HIGHTOWER RD, TWO
            RESIDENCES WERE DAMAGED, WITH A PORTION OF THE ROOF DECKS
            REMOVED. FARM BUILDINGS WERE ALSO DAMAGED OR DESTROYED IN
            THE AREA. THE TORNADO TURNED MORE TO THE EAST AND
            EVENTUALLY LIFTED WHEN REACHING OLD LUCILE RD AFTER A 4.5
            MILE PATH. THE DAMAGE WAS CONSISTENT WITH AN EF-2 TORNADO
            WITH MAX WINDS OF 115 MPH AND 400 YD WIDTH.

            EF-1 TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN ON GRANT GRAHAM RD CAUSING
            DAMAGE TO PECAN GROVES...TWO MOBILE HOMES...AND ONE
            SINGLE FAMILY HOME. THE TORNADO TRACKED NORTHEAST FOR
            APPROX. 3.75 MILES ALONG HIGHWAY 91 BEFORE LIFTING JUST
            SOUTH OF DONALSONVILLE. ESTIMATED MAXIMUM WINDS WERE 90
            MPH WITH A MAX WIDTH OF 600 YARDS.

            EF-2 TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN ON EARLY CO. SIDE OF
            EARLY-MILLER LINE NEAR THREE NOTCH ROAD. THE TORNADO
            MOVED NE TOWARDS US-27 NEAR BATES RD. A MOBILE HOME
            SUFFERED ROOF DAMAGE AND NUMEROUS PINES WERE SNAPPED OR
            UPROOTED. THE TORNADO CONTINUED NORTHEAST AND INTENSIFIED
            BEFORE REACHING MIDDLETON RD. MANY TREES WERE SNAPPED, A
            FEW DEBARKED. SEVERE DAMAGE TO FARM BUILDINGS WAS NOTED.
            THE TORNADO LIFTED AFTER 11.1 MILES NEAR OLD DAMASCUS RD.
            MAX WINDS ESTIMATED NEAR 115 MPH WITH A WIDTH UP TO 1000
            YARDS

            SURVEY TEAM FOUND SMALL AREA OF DAMAGE TO TREES AND
            OUTBUILDINGS CONSISTENT WITH STRAIGHT LINE WINDS OF
            AROUND 80 MPH.

            EF-2 TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN JUST WEST OF HIGHWAY 45 NORTH
            OF BILLY NEWBERRY ROAD. THE TORNADO LIFTTED JUST NORTH OF
            NEWTON RD AFTER A PATH OF 4.6 MILES. THERE WAS
            SIGNIFICANT TREE DAMAGE ALONG THE PATH AS WELL AS
            STRUCTURAL DAMAGE ON THE PERIPHERY. THE DAMAGE WAS
            CONSISTENT WITH AN EF-2 TORNADO WITH MAX WINDS
            APPROXIMATELY 120 MPH AND MAX WIDTH OF 500 YARDS.

            DAMAGE TO FARM EQUIPMENT DEALER AND AUTMOBILE DEALER
            REPORTED BY DECATUR COUNTY EMA. THE DAMAGE WAS
            CONCENTRATED ALONG A SMALL STRETCH OF DOTHAN ROAD IN
            WESTERN BAINBRIDGE. PHOTOS OF DAMAGE ANALYZED AND
            DETERMINED TO BE CONSISTENT WITH STRAIGHT LINE WINDS UP
            TO 80 MPH.

01/02/2017                   MILLER             GA   NWS STORM SURVEY

            EF-1 TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN NEAR ALBANY HWY AND KIMBREL RD
            IN EASTERN MILLER COUNTY. THE TORNADO TRAVELED NORTHEAST
            10 MILES...DOING HEAVY DAMAGE TO TREES ALONG THE PATH. A
            HOME AND OUTBUILDINGS WERE DAMAGED NEAR HWY 200 IN BAKER
            CO. BEFORE THE TORNADO LIFTED. MAXIMUM WINDS WERE
            ESTIMATED NEAR 105 MPH.

            SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE TO TREES AND A FEW STRUCTURES IN THE
            TOWN OF NEWTON. SURVEY TEAM DETERMINED THAT THE DAMAGE
            WAS CONSISTENT WITH STRAIGHT LINE WINDS OF APPROXIMATELY
            85 MPH.

            SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCED A 3 TO 4 MILE SWATH OF 80
            TO 85 WINDS ACROSS THE NORTHERN HALF OF ALBANY CAUSING
            WIDESPREAD DAMAGE ACROSS THE CITY. THE STORM SNAPPED OR
            UPROOTED HUNDREDS OF TREES ALONG WITH MINOR WIND DAMAGE
            TO STRUCTURES AND BUILDINGS. MOST OF THE SEVERE
            STRUCTURAL DAMAGE WAS DUE TO FALLING TREES. MOST INTENSE
            DAMAGE WAS OBSERVED IN RAWSON CIRCLE AREA. ORIENTATION OF
            THE TREE DAMAGE ALONG WITH RADAR DAMAGE SUPPORTS
            DESIGNATION AS TSTM WIND DAMAGE.

01/02/2017                   DOUGHERTY          GA   NWS STORM SURVEY

            EF-1 TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN JUST INSIDE DOUGHERTY CO. LINE
            ALONG CORDELE RD BEFORE MOVING NORTHEAST INTO WORTH
            COUNTY. THE TORNADO LIFTED JUST EAST OF HIGHWAY 313 AFTER
            TRAVELING 9.2 MILES. A STRONGLY CONVERGENT SIGNATURE WAS
            NOTED IN THE TREE DAMAGE SUPPORTING THE DESIGNATION AS A
            TORNADO WITH MAXIMUM WINDS OF APPROX. 105 MPH AND A
            MAXIMUM WIDTH OF 600 YARDS.
