...LARGE WESTERLY SWELL TO BUILD INTO THE WATERS FRIDAY INTO
FRIDAY NIGHT...

A STRONG LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM IN THE CENTRAL PACIFIC WILL PRODUCE
A LARGE SWELL WHICH WILL ARRIVE IN THE NORTHWEST CALIFORNIA
COASTAL WATERS ON FRIDAY AND BUILD INTO FRIDAY NIGHT. THERE IS
STILL SOME UNCERTAINTY AS TO THE EXACT MAGNITUDE OF THIS SWELL BUT
AT THIS TIME THE SWELL IS FORECAST TO PEAK AT 17 TO 19 FEET AT 18
SECONDS FRIDAY NIGHT.

MARINERS SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR BUILDING WAVES FRIDAY INTO FRIDAY
EVENING RESULTING IN INCREASED SHOALING OVER SANDBARS AND LARGE
SURF NEAR THE COAST.
