...A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT LAKE PONTCHARTRAIN AND
LAKE MAUREPAS...LAKE BORGNE...MISSISSIPPI SOUND AND CHANDELEUR
SOUND...THROUGH 1100 AM CDT...

AT 927 AM CDT...A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WAS LOCATED FROM 21
MILES EAST OF LAKE PONTCHARTRAIN/LAKE MAUREPA TO 18 MILES SOUTH OF
PASS CHRISTIAN...AND MOVING NORTH AT 5 MPH.

* LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE WATERS NEAR...
  PASS CHRISTIAN...

THE PRIMARY THREATS FROM THESE STORMS ARE WIND GUSTS UP TO 30
KNOTS...LOCALLY HIGHER WAVES...AND HEAVY DOWNPOURS. BOATERS SHOULD
CONSIDER SEEKING SAFE HARBOR UNTIL THESE STORMS HAVE PASSED.

WEATHER CONDITONS SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT OF WATERSPOUTS. WATERSPOUTS
CAN EASILY OVERTURN BOATS AND CREATE LOCALLY HAZARDOUS WAVES AND
SEAS. IF A WATERSPOUT IS SIGHTED...SEEK SAFE HARBOR IMMEDIATELY.
