...HIGH WIND WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING TO 7 PM EST
THURSDAY...

The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a High Wind
Warning...which is in effect from 7 PM this evening to 7 PM EST
Thursday. The Wind Advisory is no longer in effect.

* Locations...Mohawk Valley, Greater Capital District, Schoharie
  Valley, eastern Catskills, Mid Hudson Valley, Taconics, southern
  Green Mountains, Berkshires, and Litchfield Hills.

* Winds...West to northwest winds increasing to 20 to 35 mph with
  gusts up to 60 mph.

* Timing...This evening through early Thursday evening.

* Impacts...Downed trees and tree limbs resulting in at least
  scattered power outages. In addition, unsecured objects will
  likely be blown around and driving will be difficult for high
  profile vehicles.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A High Wind Warning means a hazardous high wind event is expected
or occurring. Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph or gusts
of 58 mph or more can lead to property damage.

...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING TO 7 PM
EST THURSDAY...

* Locations...Western and southern Adirondacks, Lake George
  Saratoga region, and far eastern Windham county in Vermont.

* Winds...West to northwest increasing to 20 to 30 mph with gusts
  up to 55 mph. Strongest winds will be over the higher terrain.

* Timing...This evening through early Thursday evening.

* Impacts...Downed tree limbs and branches as well as scattered
  power outages are possible. In addition, unsecured objects may
  be blown around and driving may be difficult for high profile
  vehicles.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of 31 to 39 mph are
expected...or gusts between 46 to 57 mph. Winds this strong are
capable of downing small tree limbs and branches, possibly
causing scattered power outages. Driving can also be difficult...
especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
