...FREEZING WEATHER EXPECTED AT THE COAST THIS WEEK...

.AN ARCTIC COLD FRONT WILL MOVE THROUGH TONIGHT MONDAY AND BE
FOLLOWED BY THE COLDEST WEATHER OF THE SEASON, SO FAR, AT THE
COAST. TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO DROP BELOW FREEZING EACH
NIGHT MONDAY NIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY NIGHT. IN ADDITION,
TEMPERATURES WILL STRUGGLE TO GET ABOVE FREEZING DURING THE DAY
TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY. TUESDAY NIGHT IS EXPECTED TO BE THE COLDEST
NIGHT OF THE WEEK.

...FREEZE WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE MONDAY NIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY
MORNING...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MEDFORD HAS ISSUED A FREEZE
WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM LATE MONDAY NIGHT THROUGH
THURSDAY MORNING.

* TEMPERATURES: 28 TO 32 DEGREES AT THE COASTLINE...20 TO 28
  DEGREES INLAND FROM THE COAST. THE COLDEST MORNING WILL BE ON
  WEDNESDAY.

* TEMPERATURE INVERSION: LITTLE TO NO INVERSION IS EXPECTED
  TUESDAY MORNING. STRONG, SHALLOW INVERSIONS ARE EXPECTED BOTH
  WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY MORNINGS.

* TIMING: TEMPERATURES WILL FALL BELOW FREEZING MONDAY NIGHT AND
  MAY NOT RISE ABOVE FREEZING IN MANY LOCATIONS UNTIL THURSDAY.

* LOCATIONS INCLUDE: COOS BAY...NORTH BEND...REEDSPORT...
  BANDON...PORT ORFORD...COQUILLE...BROOKINGS...HARBOR...GOLD
  BEACH.

* IMPACTS: PIPES MAY FREEZE AND BURST IF NOT PROPERLY INSULATED.
  UNPROTECTED VEGETATION MAY BE DAMAGED OR KILLED BY FREEZING
  TEMPERATURES. ANIMALS SHOULD ALSO BE PROTECTED AS THEY MAY NOT
  BE USED TO SUCH COLD WEATHER.
