Offshore Waters Forecast for Hawaii

Hawaiian offshore waters beyond 40 nautical miles out to 240
nautical miles including the portion of the Papahanaumokuakea
Marine National Monument east of French Frigate Shoals

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average height
of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be more than
twice the significant wave height.

.Synopsis for the Hawaiian offshore waters...
Surface high pressure will remain far NE of the area through  the
forecast period. A surface trough will support scattered
thunderstorms, particularly over the north and western offshore
waters. Trade winds will strengthen behind the trough through
midweek, then weaken during the second half of the week.

Elsewhere...E winds 15 to 25 kt. Seas 4 to 7 ft. N of
21N...Scattered thunderstorms with gusty winds, frequent
lightning and visibility 1 NM or less. S of 21N...Isolated
thunderstorms.
.TUESDAY and TUESDAY NIGHT...E winds 15 to 25 kt. Seas 5
to 8 ft.
.WEDNESDAY through FRIDAY...E winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 4
to 7 ft.
