Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Weak high pressure will prevail across the eastern
Gulf through the early part of the week. The pressure gradient
will weaken Wednesday through Friday as a trough drops into the
far NE Gulf. A surface trough will develop over the Yucatan
Peninsula each afternoon and evening through midweek, then
move W into the SW Gulf and dissipate overnight.

Gulf of Mexico N of 26N W of 87W

.TODAY...SW winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less, building
to 3 ft in the afternoon.
.TONIGHT...SW winds less than 10 kt, shifting to S after
midnight. Seas 3 ft.
.MON...S winds 10 to 15 kt, diminishing to less than 10 kt in
the afternoon. Seas 3 ft.
.MON NIGHT...SE winds less than 10 kt, increasing to 10 to 15 kt
after midnight. Seas 3 ft.
